Retail Managers are People TOO!!

I would just like to offer up some advice to you all during this holiday season. The wonderful people who help you out in the retail stores are people and have feelings too. Without giving you too much information I have come up with some advice for everyone..
1. Do not yell at us we can't control the mail (most of all if we are pregnant)
2. Do not get in our face and scream at us that we don't know what we are talking about (most of all if we are pregnant and a manager WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!)
3. Be nice and say thank you we work our butts off (most of all if we are pregnant)
4. Do not assume we have endless hours to help you be aware of others who need help it is the holiday season and acting like you are the Queen of the world is not nice to anyone (most of all if we are pregnant).
5. Do not throw clothes at us and tell us you want to buy it and "WRAP IT UP!"(most of all if we are pregnant)
6. Do not throw clothes on the floor and make the pregnant manager get on her hands and knees to pick it up while you watch.
In case you haven't put it together I am getting screamed at during work and called a liar etc. I would like to personally thank all of those who are kind and say thank you it really makes a difference in my day. So be kind to those in retail most of us are trying our best to make your holiday the best it can be!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Half way there!!

So here is a little update. I hit 20 weeks which is the half way point. I don't know if this happens to many women but it is going by super fast! I am pretty proud of myself I only have two crazy stories so far. Don't worry I am sure there will be more stories to come I couldn't disapoint all of you!

Preggo Brain

Ok so since most of you enjoyed my last moment I thought I would continue to keep record of this time in my life. So today started off like every work day, showered got dressed grabbed some breakfast out the door on to work. I pulled into the parking garage at work and was grabbing my jacket and handbag when I noticed something my boobs were killing me (Why I noticed just then, I don't know) well as I touched them to see why they hurt I realized my pain...I forgot to put on a BRA!!! I was wearing a silk shirt how I didn't noticed before I will never know. Lucky for me I work where they sell bra's and was able to pick one up before the store opened but many of my co workers got a good laugh thought you guys might as well. Now as long as I don't forget my pants I won't worry too much about this one! I am at 19 weeks only 21 more weeks of this to go.....right???

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Troy, Loralee and their three kids came down and spent the weekend with us. We made an amazing Thanksgiving feast, went to the beach (everyday, a perk of living in Santa Barbara), the park and the Zoo. And in between all of that I worked a lot. The kids had a lot of fun and Mazzy and Chino became best friends, they were so sweet Chino put up with a lot of eye poking, tail pulling and in return got a lot of open mouth kisses (his fav).

We were so glad that they could come down and we could spend time with family. I felt a little bad since Colby didn't understand why I had to keep going to work. I had to leave the Zoo early to get to work and he wanted to come with me when I told him he couldn't and I had to go to work he looked at me and said "AGAIN?!"

I think the highlight of the weekend for me was getting to feed one of the Giraffes at the Zoo. The kids loved it as well but I was really excited and it was awesome. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.

And its a ......BOY!! Needless to say we are thrilled, mostly Lance he wanted a boy so, so bad. We will post the pictures later once we get them loaded onto the computer!!! YEAH BOY!!!

I love the Chiropractor

I went to the Chiropractor today. Since my dad is too far away I am forced to find one local and pay for care but the good news is...I DON'T CARE! I feel great and I am so happy I found her. I love the Chiropractor! I just wanted to shout it to the world! If you don't have one you should find yourself one because they make you feel like a million bucks! I am so happy right now. My Pants Don't Fit! Am I Fat?

Ok so today at 17 weeks preggo I could not get my top button of my dress pants buttoned! This is a moment I wanted to share because one would think thats because you are 17 weeks preggo and starting to get bigger. Right?!? My problem is everyday I go to work and get reminded that I don't look pregnant AT ALL, EVERYDAY! So why don't my clothes fit if I don't look the slightest bit preggo why are my pants tight? Then it dawned on me is everyone saying I don't look preggo because maybe I just look fat? And everyone is too nice to tell me? Thoughts? I know I shouldn't complain because I eventually will get bigger and be complaining about being too big so I thought this blog would be a nice reminder. But I am still annoyed that my pants don't fit and I don't look preggo......GRRRR!!

*RULE- If your pants don't fit you should look pregnant if you are in fact pregnant*

Montecito Tea Fire

We have been getting lots of phone calls and e mails about the Montecito fires. Just wanted to let everyone know although we were close to evacutation we didn't need to thanks to the winds slowing down. A lot of families have lost their homes and have been coming into my work with tears just needing clothes to wear. It is truely heart breaking. Please pray for all the families who have lost their homes in the Tea Fire they need it right now. It is so sad to see these children in tears because they have lost almost everything they have ever know to be home and have no place to live. Our prayers our with the families tonight.

In Rare Form!

So today I had my first full blown and I mean FULL BLOWN pregnancy moment. As I was getting ready to leave for work today I went and turned off our space heater. (they don't believe in real heat on the beaches of Santa Barbara I guess). Well as I did that I looked at my sweet little puppy on the couch and the worst feeling came over me and then well this is what happened next....

I started to cry because I thought truely thought that our space heater was going to explode and that our house would catch on fire and Chino would have no way out and would die. So what did I do? I called Lance explained it to him and he said "I don't know how he would get out"! Which put me into even more of a panic. I then told him I wasn't leaving the house until we figured this out. He then realized he needed to get me out of this irrational state and told me the house was not going to blow up and that Chino would be fine I then said "I think you should come home and take Chino to work with you".(Are you laughing yet).

Long story short Lance talked me off my ledge I went to work and my house and dog are fine. Don't worry I am sure there will be many, many more of these stories to come. The joys of pregnancy!

Boy or Girl?

Hi ho hi ho Back to Work I Go...

Well I am officially back at work. Which means no more hospital visits for this girl (I hope) and I could not be happier! It was a rough start, but I am still on my medication and feeling better everyday and trying to take it easy so I don't over do it. Its nice to be back in the human world and not glued to my bed everyday. The only problem now is trying to resist all the baby clothes that I want to buy at work. Only 2 weeks and we find out if it's a boy or girl.... We are taking bets now...ha ha!

Only in California/What a blessing!

I don't know if many of you heard but a crazy masked gunman waving an American flag shut down the 101 today. Apparently he wanted to make a statement about the Iraq war. He caused the freeway to be shut down for over 3 hours! What is the blessing is all of this you ask? Well if I wasn't on medical leave I would have been one of those stuck on the 101 for 3 hours!! They shut down the freeway right around the time I am off to work. Could you imagine? Pregnant and stuck on the freeway for over 3 hours not fun!! I guess there is one thing to be greatful for during my rest. Just thought I would see the silver lining in the cloud.

Happy Halloween

Chino wanted to show off his lizard/T-Rex costume for Halloween. He can't wait to give the trick or treaters their candy. Have a safe Halloween everyone! Look how good he is at guarding that candy.

To All the Chino Fans!

Our blog would not be complete without a little something about our Chino Dog! We rescued Chino about 2 1/2 years ago and it has been great! We have learned much from our little pup. Such as his likes and dislikes:

Likes: Beach, Sleeping in tiny spaces under blankets that raise his body temp to 150 degrees, running on the treadmill, and licking the faces of small children who are at his height, last but not least his toy we call bobo!

Dislikes: Ocean, not being under a blanket at all times, being taken out of his tiny space while sleeping, having his tail pulled.

I am sure many of you are fans of our Chino pup. One of his biggests fans would be the Mazzy she just lights up whenever she sees him, although I think she is that way with all dogs we just won't tell Chino that since he loves her she is great at leaving food on her face for him to lick off. I have learned a lot being home the past two months with the Chino that really all he does all day is sleep and he could not be happier. WE LOVE YOU OUR CHINO PUP!

Disneyland

A few weeks ago we spent 2 fun filled days at the happiest place on earth with some of my family. We had a blast, I was in a wheelchair the whole time because I wasn't up to walking around which saved us many hours since it was our front of the line pass! Jack (6) and Abby (4) had a blast Jack got to finally go to Jedi Training and could not be happier. We were lucky to get to celebrate Jennie, Aunt Terri and Abby's birthday at the Disney Princess breakfast. We learned very fast that Jack LOVES pretty girls his fav was Jasmine.

We got to try the new Toy Story ride which was AWESOME!! If you go you must try this ride it is worth the wait and we waited. Next year we are going for 3 days not just the two....SUCH A BLAST!!!! Did I mention Abby loves to play in the water?

We Got a Blog???

So I did it, I broke down and got a blog. I say I because Lance has been so anti-blog for so long. But hey we have a baby on the way and I thought what a great way to keep people updated on us. Not to mention I have been out of work because I am so sick for 2 months now I am going a little stir crazy. So here it is enjoy! I am new at this so it may take sometime for Lance and I to get this up and running.
